7 Days Rwanda – Uganda Gorilla Safari
This 7 days takes you to Volcanoes national park in Rwanda for the 1st gorilla trek, 2nd in Bwindi – Uganda, then to Queen Elizabeth and Kibale national parks. For your primates tracking safari, all these parks offer excellent chimp treks. Major tourist activities include: double gorilla tracking, game viewing, launch cruise, chimpanzee tracking and birding.
Transfer to VolcanoesOn arrival, you will do a city tour around Kigali where you will visit the genocide museum, craft shops, local markets among others. You will then transfer to volcanoes national park. You may go for a nature walk to the twin lakes or a cultural walk in the Ib’iwachu cultural village. 1st Gorilla tracking in Volcanoes national parkTake a quick breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for briefing from the park warden in company of other trackers. The park rangers, guides and potters will lead the trek while searching for the gentle giants. After the trek, you will cross to Bwindi enjoying the remarkable scenic views of the virunga mountains enroute. 2nd Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable ForestHave an early breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. You will then penetrate through the forest looking for the gorillas which may take about 2 to 8 hours depending on where they spent the previous night. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national parkYou will enjoy a relaxed breakfast before your transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will enjoy the Ishasha tree-climbing lions and lunch enroute. Later after lunch, you will go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel which will reward you with numerous bird species like the flamigoes and animals like the crocodiles, hippos among others. Transfer to Kibale Forest national parkEnjoy a quick breakfast and transfer to Kibale Forest national park.
