5 Days Kibale and Queen Elizabeth Tour
Transfer to Kibale Forest National ParkYour guide will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel and drive you to Fort Portal and then to Kibale Forest National Park which is the most accessible rain forest. The Park is a home to a variety of primates in East Africa. Upon arrival, go for a guided nature walk or carry out a short community tour to the neighboring communities surrounding the Park. Later have dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Guest house (Budget)/ Chimp’s nest (Midrange)/ Primates lodge (Luxury).
Chimp tracking and Bigodi Swamp walkAfter enjoying a warm cup of tea, you will go for the life time Chimpanzee tracking experience. You will first report to the Park Headquarters at Kanyachu for a briefing about the does and don’ts while with the chimps and immediately after go for the morning chimpanzee tracking. Besides the chimps, you may spot other primates like: Varvet Monkey, L’hoest, Blue Monkey, Red-Tailed Monkey, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Black And White Colobus Monkey and many more. Return to the lodge for Lunch and later go for the afternoon Bigodi swamp walk to search for different bird species. Have your dinner and overnight at your previous lodge.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National ParkAfter breakfast, you will head to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is the most popular protected area with a stunning location on the rift valley floor between Lakes Edward and George. En route to the Park you will enjoy a game drive getting to see the different wildlife species such as Elephants, Buffalos, and Uganda Kob and if lucky, you may also spot the Hyena, Lions, Leopard and perhaps the Giant Forest Hog. Dinner and overnight stay at Simba safari lodge (Budget)/ Hippo Hills camp (Deluxe)/ Mweya safari lodge (Luxury).
Game drive and afternoon Launch cruiseYou will go for the morning game drive in Kasenyi area to search for the various wildlife animals missed out in the previous game drive. Later visit the Katwe explosion craters where you will be able to spot Kitagata Lake and the enormous Kamengo Crater and this will give you clear view of different wildlife around the Park. In the afternoon, go for the launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you will be rewarded with wildlife sights of species like the Hippopotamuses, Waterbucks, Crocodiles and a variety of Water Birds like the black bee- eater, several species of falcons and the raptors. Enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at your previous lodge (Day 3).
C Transfer to KampalaAfter your breakfast, you will transfer back to Kampala. You will also be able to take a morning game drive en route as you exit the park and spot different animals on your way. Lunch en route in Mbarara town, and drop-off at your hotel/airport.
