10 Days Rwanda – Uganda Gorilla & Wildlife Safari

Day 1
Arrival at Kigali int’l airport
You will be welcomed by our representatives who will be your tour guides on your arrival. They will brief and take you to your hotel for an overnight stay. Overnight stay at Flame tree Hotel or Miles Collins hotel. (Bed and Breakfast)
Day 2
City tour and transfer to Volcanoes
After a relaxed breakfast, you will enjoy a tour around Kigali, visiting the genocide Museum and the local markets. Later in the day drive to Ruhengeri and have lunch en route. You may have a cultural walk around the villages or visit the twin lakes. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. (Fullboard)
Day 3
Gorilla tracking Dian Fossey hike / Golden monkey tracking
Have an early breakfast and head to volcanoes National Park headquarters where you will be brief about the DOS and Don’ts while with the gorillas or golden monkeys depending on which activity you prefer. While those interested in knowing more about Great primatologist Dian Fossey, will head to the Karisoke research Centre and later hike to her tombs. Return to then Lodge for lunch and drive to Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park. You will have remarkable sights of the well terraced hills, local homesteads and above all the Virunga Mountains. Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Mist camp or Ruhija lodge (full board)
Day 4
Gorilla tracking and community walk
Take a quick breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for briefing. Thereafter, you will be guided by the park Rangers, warden and potters to penetrate through the forest in search of the gentle Giants. This memorable activity takes about 2 to 8 hours, it depends on where they spent the previous night and where their food is. You will be allowed to spend one whole hour with them taking pics and watching them play or feed. Return to the lodge for relaxation. If you are not fatigued, you may visit the local communities with your guide. Dinner and overnight stay at your previous lodge.
Day 5
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Enjoy your morning breakfast and drive north to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a stopover at Ishasha for watch the tree climbing Lions, have lunch and proceed to Enganzi lodge for Dinner and overnight stay. (Full board)
Day 6
Game drive and Boat cruise.
A cup of coffee or tea and hit the road to the Park. You will enjoy beautiful sights and sweet memories of the birds and different wildlife such as impala, elephants, kob, Bush barks, and monkeys among others. Return to the lodge for full breakfast and relaxing. After lunch, go for a launch cruise along the kazinga channel which connects Lake George and Edward. You will be rewarded with spectacular sights of numerous water animals and birds like the flamingoes, water bucks, shoe bills and many other. Dinner and overnight stay at your previous lodge.
Day 7
Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
You will have an early breakfast and drive to Kibale Forest for chimp tracking or chimp habituation. Chimp tracking is no different from gorilla tracking, you have a pre-tracking briefing and hit the forest while habituation you engage in the activities such as feeding them. Have lunch and wait for the evening Forest walk. Dinner and overnight stay at mountains of the moon hotel.
Day 8
Transfer to Murchison Falls National park.
Have an early breakfast and start the long drive to Murchison falls National Park. You will have stopovers to stretch your legs and lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at Paraa Safari Lodge (full board)
Day 9
Game drive and Launch cruise
Take a cup of coffee or tea before meeting the morning risers. You will see different birds and animals like the Lions, elephants, giraffes among others. Return back to the lodge and relax waiting for the afternoon boat cruise. Dinner and overnight stay at your previous lodge.
Day 9
City tour and Departure.
After your early breakfast, youmay visit the top of the falls before heading to Kampala City. You may visit Ziwa rhino sanctuary and lunch en route. Visit the numerous historical sites in Kampala before heading to the airport for your scheduled flight.
